About Lake Region Arts Council:

Since its formation in 1977, LRAC is proud to be a partner and active participant in Minnesota's statewide arts system. As part of that system, LRAC receives funding from the MN State Legislature and Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. LRAC and the Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB) work together to provide grants and services to our nine county region. LRAC supports the work of Minnesota Citizens for the Arts through organizing grass roots activities and promoting attendance at Arts Advocacy Day. LRAC is a recipient of McKnight Foundation funding which supports our work with individual artists. LRAC also partners with Springboard for the Arts to provide a satellite Springboard office based in Fergus Falls.

Equal Access to Grant Funds Statement: LRAC is committed that our grants and services are available to everyone regardless of national origin, race, color, creed, religion, disability, gender/gender identity, status with regard to public assistance, marital status, economic status or political affiliation.

The Lake Region Arts Council office is located in Fergus Falls, MN. There are three LRAC staff positions, an executive director, grants manager, and exec. assistant/coordinator for Arts Mentorship and Artist Cohort Programs. The board oversees the running of the organization, and are responsible to review and select grants for funding. The LRAC Board of Directors is comprised of two representatives from each of the nine counties in our region.
